We have an exciting lineup of performers at this year’s Fair, spread across two stages.  Check them out:

The “Hardly, Hardly Strictly” Stage:

John Roy Zat
A singer, songwriter, fiddler, and guitar picker, John Roy Zat plays both classic American roots, folk, country and bluegrass standards, and also original songs. His songs lift spirits, brighten hopes, make us laugh, and maybe cry a little.

Don't Look Back
With mandolins, fiddles, banjos and geetars a blazing, this group of accomplished musicians brings a great energy to their performance of old timey music.

Blind Lemon Pledge
With a helping of blues, a touch of soul and a taste of New Orleans swing, Blind Lemon Pledge plays a unique blend of classic blues and crowd-pleasing originals

The Fly Right Sisters
The Fly Right Sisters sing swing tunes in the three-party, close harmony style made famous by the Andrews Sisters and the Boswell Sisters.

Jenny Kerr
A multi-instrumentalist as well as a poetic and passionate songwriter, Jenny Kerr is known for foot-stomping live shows and powerful, authentic voice. Her self-produced debut release, Itch drew critical acclaim as well as comparisons to Delbert McClinton and Janis Joplin. The album sold out during her first year of touring. Kerr is a skilled player of fingerstyle guitar, clawhammer banjo, harmonica, piano, and dobro. Together with her band of road-tested rogues, she delivers a seasoned yet spirited sound with forays into swamp rock, straight-up soul, backwater honky tonk, and old-time blues.

The “Outside, Outside Lands” Stage:

Daniel Mandel
Daniel Mandel is a singer songwriter who’s songwriting fits into the Adult Contemporary Folk Rock style, being inspired by Jackson Browne, Cat Stevens, Freedy Johnston, Damien Rice, Elvis Costello and Ray LaMontagne.  He has been recording since 2005, with the completion his first independent release “Might Be You”, Today, he performs both as an acoustic solo act and with a great group of musicians under the name “Daniel Mandel Band”.

Kate Kilbane
Kate Kilbane & the Cellar Doors. Kate might tell you her show is like a cross of Fiona Apple and Sting writing a rock opera based on an ancient Greek tragedy. After being wow'ed by their performance at the 2010 fair, we'll tell you that you'll love their rich, playful, pop songs and gorgeous three girl harmonies.

Youth of the Beast
Youth of the Beast is a duo from California. Our sound is acoustic rock with elements of folk, punk, dub and 60's pop. Our lyrics combine the personal with the political.

Dubious Ranger
Dubious Ranger is an art-rock band based in San Francisco and started by classical pianist and singer/songwriter Alexander Eccles. Alexander is a high school fine arts teacher, golf coach, and award-winning writer who dreams of one day owning his own amusement park.

The band's most recent album, Found Recordings From The Panda Valley Mining Company c.1931, is a creative collaboration between Alexander and percussionist/ceramicist Gabe Turow. The album's set in a fictional mining town and features an utterly homemade aesthetic, with instrumentation such as rusty pipes, a tea kettle, a ceramic guitar, African bells, a $10 amp, a broken old piano, things being thrown against the wall, and the ramblings of very, very sleep-deprived vocals.

Dubious Ranger shows include layered percussion and lots of audience participation. There's no ego and no posturing. The point of Dubious Ranger performances is to share a love of music and to have fun.

Daniel Durrett
Daniel Durrett is a San Francisco based singer/songwriter/producer, multi-instrumentalist and solo artist. His sound has often been described as electronic, eclectic, evolving, eccentric, and easing. On stage, he uses digital technology combined with acoustic instruments to construct live loops.

Working under the alias Jimmy 2 Sticks – an exploration of digital and analog sound transformations – he released 7 collections of music and composed remix work as well. Most notably, he is featured on “Digital Bliss Volume 2” with a remix of the Artemis track “Subterranean.”

Daniel also formed an experimental multi-media group with fellow musician, Nick Davio. The band,  hypermodal, focuses on crossing genres and integrating electronic/acoustic instruments and video into performance art.

Daniel’s latest release,  hello, inner sunset on RTFM Records, is available now.
